Story

Founded in 1975 as Bible Truth Church, Motion Church, based in Kamloops, BC, embodies a dynamic vision to transform lives through faith and community. Initially started with a small group seeking a deeper connection with God, the church experienced significant growth, leading to a rebranding in 2020 to better reflect its mission of perpetual movement in every believer's life (Acts 17:28). Under the leadership of Lead Pastors Jonny and Bryar Strutt, Motion Church continues to build on its legacy of vibrant worship and empowering leadership.

Motion Church operates with a clear mission for everyone in to know God, find freedom,
discover their purpose, and make a difference. With campuses two in Kamloops and one opening soon in Merritt BC, Motion Church is not just a place to attend, but a community to belong to. Their commitment extends beyond regular services to include outreach, college, and creative initiatives, ensuring that our impact resonates both locally and globally.

Meet Your Campus Pastors

Rick & Audrey Turnbull

Rick and Audrey have embraced the call to lead a Motion Church campus in Merritt BC, guided by their lead pastors, Jonny and Bryar Strutt. With their roots deep in personal transformation and
community service, they are committed to leading with passion and dedication.

Together, Rick and Audrey aim to foster a community where everyone can Know God, Find Freedom, Discover Purpose, and Make a Difference, bringing their unique gifts and experiences
to lead the Merritt campus of Motion Church into a bright future.

Early Life

Audrey was born and raised in Granby, Quebec. Her early life was shaped by her
family's values and the significant impact of her parents divorce during her teenage years.

Rick grew up in Grande Prairie, Alberta, overcoming a challenging childhood marked by adoption and early independence, with his path profoundly altered by a transformative encounter with Jesus.

Call to Ministry

Rick was compelled by his radical transformation to spread the gospel, finding his calling in full-time ministry through various avenues that allowed him to preach and teach.

Audrey felt called to ministry after a life-changing encounter with Jesus, leading her to devote her life to serving God from a young age.

Ministry Experience

Audrey has served in various capacities, including youth leader and small group leader,
before stepping into her role as Merritt Campus Pastor alongside Rick.

Rick is an ordained minister with diverse experiences from conducting weddings to
teaching at Motion Bible College, reflecting his deep commitment to discipleship and
education.

Vision

Rick aspires to open people’s eyes to Jesus, deepen their understanding of the Bible,
and influence their communities profoundly through faith.
